Welcome to Lovejoy Middle!
In this time where physical distancing and remote education has become necessary to slow the spread of COVID-19, social connection is more important than ever. We know it is crucial for our students to feel connected to a supportive community to help support their well-being.
Positive student relationships are fundamental to success. When students feel supported, they're more likely to engage in learning and have better academic outcomes. Plus, when students have positive interactions with adults, they have fewer behavioral problems. These relationships are more important, and more challenging, than ever in uncertain times, like during the coronavirus pandemic.
A strong sense of connection is necessary to create positive social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes. It meets the basic human needs of building social bonds and feeling cared about.
We know that creating and maintaining these relationships via remote learning is a new challenge for us to meet. However, CCPS Behavior Intervention Specialists are up for the challenge!
Come CONNECT with us every week to share, listen, talk, laugh, and release! Click on the Zoom Link below for your child's meeting time!
Thank you for all you each do every day to enrich the lives of young people!!!
